Professional Background
Founded Scaleocity Works in 2018 after a long tenured career with both Fortune 500 companies and privately held companies. Using his global experience and legal education, Brian works to make Scaleocity Works a top HCM provider in Southern California and beyond.
Personal Notes
When Brian is not helping build and lead the team at Scaleocity Works, he is helping with the family livestock business. In between, Brian enjoys kayaking, a good round of golf and quiet time in his infrared sauna.

Graduated with Honors from USC with an Executive Master in Leadership while working full time and raising a family in 2017 2) Researched and designed curriculum centered on Succession Planning focusing on Millennial Leadership Development, Talent Pooling, Talent Management, and Career Development through Coaching and Mentoring in 2015 3) Served on boards of public, private, and non-profit sector corporations from 2008-2019.
Professional Background
Facilitated adult centered training and development for 25 years in the public sector. As a public servant for over 20 years protected the rights of citizens, employees and organizations in a variety of professional and administrative capacities. As a local community college professor, Matthew guides the next generation of leaders moving into the workplace in their career development.
Personal Notes
While maintaining an effective work/life balance, Matthew helps the family maintain their livestock and property. In between, Matthew enjoys being active in his children’s passions, staying engaged in local government, hiking and enjoying the quiet beauty of the outdoors whenever possible.

Milestones:
Graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University.
Trained to be a trader in the markets. In 2006 founded AGI, inc. a capital management company that I still operate today.
In 2014, I was certified as an instructor and began teaching classes on trading for McCauley Learning Systems.
In 2014 co-founded the Seattle Options group. A group of traders who meet weekly to identify trading opportunities. In 2019, founded the Proactive Investor group who meet monthly to identify investing opportunities.
Professional Background:
Worked sixteen years for a privately held, specialty retail chain. The last eleven as director of store operations. In this position, I supervised two district managers; eighteen store managers and one hundred seventy-five team members. We had no HR department (I won't tell you how many times we were sued), no computerized time clocks or scheduling tools. Very old school. This experience gives me a real appreciation for what technology can do today for companies like yours.
Followed this with a twenty year career in sales for various companies in the publishing, marketing and for profit education industries ranging in size from as few as 10 people to as large as 14,000.
Personal Notes:
I live with my significant other on the Eastern shore of the Puget Sound just north of Seattle.
I enjoy water and beach activities and spending time with my two children.
